MA is the journal of the Italian Society of Anesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care (SIAARTI). It publishes original papers and review articles on all aspects of Anesthesia, Analgesia, and Critical Care.

MA is indexed/abstracted in Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch), Scopus. In 2015, the journal achieved an Impact Factor of 2.036.

All manuscripts undergo fast and professional peer-review, and a first response is usually sent to the authors within five weeks. MA does not charge Authors for publication and provides free on-line access to all articles starting from six months after publication.
